Qatar Emir, Trump Discuss Middle East Developments

DOHA, June 4 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call from U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss developments in the Middle East, Qatar News Agency reported.
The two sides reviewed political and security developments in the region and regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalation and stability.
Sheikh Tamim stressed the importance of political and diplomatic solutions and dialogue between all parties to strengthen regional security and prevent further escalation.
The call also addressed the need to continue dialogue to resolve current issues.
The two sides discussed maritime navigation, the security of strategic waterways and the smooth flow of global supply and energy chains.
