Riyadh, February 28, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Qatar condemned Iranian strikes on U.S. bases located in the country and in neighbouring Arab states as a “flagrant violation of its national sovereignty” in an Arabic-language post on X.

Qatar said it reserves “its full right to respond to such targeting in accordance with the provisions of international law,” the statement said.

The statement said Qatar has sought to distance itself from regional conflicts and facilitate dialogue, including mediation efforts involving Tehran and Washington.

“However, repeated targeting of its territories does not reflect good faith and threatens the foundation of understanding upon which bilateral relations between the two countries were built,” the statement said.

The statement referred to Iranian strikes targeting U.S. bases in Qatar and in neighbouring Arab nations, including the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Bahrain, following joint U.S.-Israeli strike operations inside Iran.
