BURAIDAH, August 31 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Governor of Qassim Region Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz reviewed logistics services at the Buraidah International Dates Carnival on Monday, including air freight services reaching more than 70 countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Transport and shipping services cover all regions of Saudi Arabia and more than 100 cities and governorates. Specialised companies provide packaging, shipping and distribution services, which SPA said help preserve the quality of dates and support efficient delivery to destinations within the Kingdom and international markets.
During the visit, the governor also reviewed date auctions and the carnival’s buying, selling and marketing activities. He received a briefing on the logistical services provided by the specialised companies, alongside his review of the commercial activity at the event.
The governor emphasised the importance of further developing the palm and date sector and expanding processing industries. He said these efforts should increase the added economic value of dates and strengthen the presence of Saudi products in domestic and international markets. His remarks identified sector development and processing as priorities, without announcing a specific investment or project.
