PARIS, May 29 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on Friday that Moscow had the means to destroy anyone attempting to attack Kaliningrad, Russia’s Baltic exclave, Reuters reported.
Putin was responding to remarks by Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys, who said earlier this month that NATO had to show Moscow it was capable of penetrating Kaliningrad.
Asked separately about Russian intelligence reports alleging that Ukraine had sent drone operators to Latvia, Putin said any location posing a threat to Russia would be considered a legitimate target by Moscow.
Putin added that Russia remained ready to continue talks on a peaceful resolution to the war in Ukraine.
