PARIS, April 4 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - A projectile hit the perimeter of Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant on Saturday, killing one person and damaging a nearby building, Iranian state media agency Tasnim reported.

Tasnim said the dead was a member of the plant’s security staff.

The U.N. nuclear watchdog said there had been no reported rise in radiation levels following the strike, but cautioned against attacks on nuclear power plants and called for “maximum military restraint to avoid risk of a nuclear accident.”

The incident marked the fourth time the site had been targeted since the war began, according to Iranian authorities, who have previously said projectiles struck the area around the Bushehr plant several times this month.

Bushehr is Iran’s only functioning nuclear power plant.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, responding to the incident, warned that any radioactive fallout could “end life in (Gulf) capitals, not Tehran,” and referred to Western criticism of similar Russian attacks on Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
