Riyadh, March 10, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — About 140 U.S. service members have been wounded since the start of American military operations against Iran, Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said Tuesday.
“Since the start of Operation Epic Fury, approximately 140 U.S. service members have been wounded over 10 days of sustained attacks,” Parnell said in a statement.
He said most of the injuries were minor, with 108 service members already returned to duty, while eight troops remain listed as severely injured and are receiving advanced medical care.
A U.S. official previously told CNN that the category of seriously wounded includes cases where death is possible or imminent.
Officials also confirmed that seven U.S. service members have been killed in action during the conflict. The most recent casualty was returned to the United States on Monday during a dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base.
Pentagon officials said casualty figures may change over time, noting that some service members may seek medical care hours or days after an incident, depending on the severity of injuries.
