Over 13 million visit the Two Holy Mosques during Rabi’ Al-Akhir 1447 AH

Makkah, October 11, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque said the number of Umrah performers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques during the month of Rabi’ Al-Akhir 1447 AH reached 13,029,471.
At the Grand Mosque in Makkah, the authority recorded 4,197,055 visitors, including 22,786 who prayed at Hijr Ismail (Al-Hateem), and 2,887,516 Umrah performers.
The Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah received 8,179,085 visitors, including 355,532 who prayed in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, and 478,403 who offered greetings to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his two Companions.
The authority said it uses advanced sensor systems at the main entrances of both mosques to monitor visitor and pilgrim numbers. The technology supports crowd management and enhances operational efficiency in coordination with relevant entities.
