Nearly 97 Million Worshippers Visit the Two Holy Mosques During First 20 Days of Ramadan

Riyadh, March 10, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques said a total of 96,638,865 worshippers and visitors have attended the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque during the first 20 days of Ramadan 1447 AH.


The authority said the figures are based on operational indicators measuring entries for prayers and Umrah, reflecting the strong turnout of worshippers during the holy month.


The Grand Mosque received 57,595,401 worshippers performing the five daily prayers and night prayers, in addition to 15,605,086 Umrah pilgrims.


At the Prophet’s Mosque, a total of 21,143,259 worshippers performed the five daily prayers and night prayers.


The authority said 579,191 worshippers prayed in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, while 1,715,928 visitors offered greetings to the Prophet Muhammad and his companions.


Officials said the figures reflect the high operational readiness and integrated services provided to worshippers during Ramadan, ensuring smooth movement and a safe spiritual environment for visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
