RIYADH, Oct 4 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Melwah Racing opened on Sunday as part of the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026 in Malham, north of Riyadh, with 12 rounds scheduled through October 9 and total prizes of SAR723,000, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Organized by the National Center for Falcons, the competition covers six falcon chick types divided into two categories: owners and amateurs, and elite and professionals.
Participation is limited to chicks purchased through the International Falcon Breeders Auction, increasing the role of farm-bred falcons in the competition.
The owners and amateurs category carries SAR261,000 in prizes, while SAR462,000 is allocated to the elite and professionals category.
Melwah Racing tests a falcon’s speed and response over a 200-meter course from the starting point to the finish line.
