Arar, September 15, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The last quarter moon of Rabi’ Al-Awwal 1447 AH was observed over Arar in the Northern Borders Region on Sunday evening, with the moon’s eastern side illuminated in a bright half-circle visible to the naked eye.
Astronomers explained that this phase occurs when the moon is positioned at a 90-degree angle with the sun relative to Earth, causing its eastern half to be lit while the western half remains dark.
Experts noted that the recurring phenomenon offers astronomy enthusiasts an opportunity to observe lunar details, particularly in areas with clear skies
