RIYADH, March 31, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – A Kuwait-flagged crude oil tanker was hit in a drone attack off Dubai early on Tuesday, catching fire and sustaining hull damage, according to Reuters.

Kuwait Petroleum Corp, the vessel’s owner, said the strike caused a fire on board, while Dubai authorities later said the blaze had been brought under control.

Authorities said there was no oil leak and no injuries to the crew.

The attack is the latest in a series of assaults on merchant vessels in the Gulf and Strait of Hormuz since the conflict widened, raising concerns over shipping security and energy supplies.
