Kuwait says it intercepted Iranian drones targeting military facilities

KUWAIT CITY, July 31 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Kuwait intercepted Iranian drones attempting to strike military and critical facilities on Friday morning, with falling debris causing material damage but no casualties, the Kuwaiti Army said.

A military spokesperson said the incoming targets were destroyed before reaching their intended locations.

Iranian forces said Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base had been targeted. Iranian state media also released footage appearing to show projectiles being launched towards Kuwait.

The Iranian army said the attack was retaliation for U.S. strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island. A couple and their child were killed in their home during those strikes, according to Iranian state media.

Iran has previously attacked U.S. infrastructure at military bases in neighbouring countries in response to American strikes on its territory.
