Kuwait Reopens Airspace After Temporary Closure

KUWAIT, June 6 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Kuwait reopened its airspace on Saturday after a temporary precautionary closure following Iranian ballistic missile attacks on the country.


The Public Authority of Civil Aviation activated emergency procedures to ensure the safety of passengers, air crews and civil aviation facilities.


The closure lasted from 4:15 a.m. to 6:15 a.m.


During the closure, 11 Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways flights were diverted to neighbouring airports.


Air traffic resumed at 6:15 a.m. after coordination with competent authorities and confirmation that the situation had stabilized.


Flights diverted from Dammam and Riyadh airports to Kuwait International Airport resumed their scheduled routes after airspace reopened.
