Kuwait closes airspace amid regional security developments, KUNA reports

Riyadh, February 28, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Kuwait’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation announced on Saturday it is closing the country’s airspace due to political and security developments in the region, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
“This is a precautionary decision aimed at preserving safety and security of passengers, airlines and operations in Kuwait International Airport from any possible dangers,” spokesman Abdullah Al-Rajhi told KUNA.
