Kremlin Postpones Russian–Arab Summit Amid Gaza Plan

Moscow, October 9, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani agreed in a phone call to postpone the planned Russian–Arab summit, the Kremlin said, citing the start of the active phase of U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza normalization plan and expected difficulties for many Arab leaders to travel to Moscow at this time.

The summit had been scheduled for October 15 in Moscow. The Kremlin said the decision reflects the focus of regional leaders on the ceasefire and hostage-release framework now moving into implementation. New arrangements for the summit will be announced later.
