July Sky Brings Arcturus, Summer Triangle and Milky Way Views

JEDDAH, July 2 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - July will offer astronomy enthusiasts a clear view of several major summer stars and celestial formations, including Arcturus and the Summer Triangle formed by Vega, Altair and other prominent stars.
The Scorpius and Sagittarius constellations will help observers locate the center of the Milky Way, where the galaxy’s bright band and the Coalsack Nebula can be seen from dark areas.
Jeddah Astronomy Society Director Majed Abu Zahra said July 2026 will be rich in astronomical phenomena visible across the region.
Notable objects include Messier 13, a globular cluster in Hercules containing hundreds of thousands of stars more than 25,000 light-years away.
Observers may also see Omega Centauri, a massive star cluster containing millions of stars and believed to be the remnant core of a dwarf galaxy that merged with the Milky Way.
