Jordan Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia, Backs Kingdom’s Security Measures

AMMAN, Oct 6 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Jordan condemned continued Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, including attempts to target Makkah and Madinah and civilian and economic facilities in several cities, and reaffirmed full support for measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security and sovereignty.
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates described the attacks as a flagrant violation of Saudi sovereignty, a threat to the Kingdom’s security and stability, and a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The ministry affirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia in confronting the attacks and expressed support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security, stability, sovereignty, resources and the safety of citizens and residents.
Jordan also reiterated support for Yemeni legitimacy and for resolving the crisis on principles that would restore security and stability in Yemen while protecting its unity, sovereignty and resources.
The ministry said any settlement should meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people and be based on agreed-upon references.
Jordan also affirmed support for Saudi Arabia’s efforts to reach a comprehensive and sustainable political settlement in Yemen and for the Kingdom’s leadership of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen.
