Jordan Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia, Affirms Full Solidarity

AMMAN, September 8, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Jordan has condemned Houthi attacks on civilian and economic sites in the Saudi cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran, reaffirming its full solidarity with the Kingdom.


The attacks injured civilians, according to the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. Saudi authorities earlier placed the number of injured at 73, including women and children.


Jordan also condemned continued Houthi attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea.


The ministry described the attacks as a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a threat to the Kingdom’s security, stability and territorial integrity.


It said the attacks represented a flagrant breach of international law and the United Nations Charter and posed a threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation.


Jordan affirmed its full support for Saudi Arabia and for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security, stability and national resources, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents.
