Jeddah, September 30, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Jeddah has been ranked 74th globally in the 2025 Quality of Life Index compiled by Numbeo, making it the highest-ranked city in Saudi Arabia and the second in the Arab world after Muscat.

The ranking reflects progress in public safety, healthcare, infrastructure, and modern amenities, as the city continues efforts to translate its development momentum into tangible benefits for residents and visitors.

The Jeddah Municipality has implemented a series of large-scale projects, including five integrated waterfronts designed to connect daily urban life with the sea. These developments feature walking and cycling paths, public squares, children’s play areas, sculptures, restaurants, cafés, rest areas, and marine platforms.

To strengthen environmental sustainability, ongoing beach maintenance programs have been launched to ensure cleanliness, protect the marine environment, and raise awareness about preservation. In parallel, more than 445 public parks have been opened across the city, providing spaces for community gatherings. Pedestrian walkways, modern lighting systems, and wider sidewalks have also been introduced to improve safety and encourage physical activity.

Jeddah has also prioritized environmental management through source-sorting initiatives, waste-to-resource conversion, and pollution monitoring, resulting in improved air quality and environmental comfort.

By combining marine developments, expanded green spaces, modern infrastructure, and sustainability programs, Jeddah is consolidating its position as an economic hub and a leading tourist destination.
