Dhahran, September 9, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) announced the return of its flagship design event, Tanween, for its 8th edition, to be held from November 17 to 22, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
This year’s edition, themed “Design the Unspoken,” will invite designers to explore hidden needs and respond with forward-looking concepts. The program emphasizes creativity’s potential to uncover what is often overlooked and redefine design’s role in communities.
Ithra also launched the Tanween Challenges open call, running until October 26, inviting global designers to participate in six-day design sprints, including the Global Impact Challenge, Urban Spaces Challenge, Product Design Challenge, and Visual Communication Challenge.
Over six days, Tanween will offer a multidisciplinary program with hands-on learning experiences for professionals, students, and enthusiasts. The event will feature showcases such as the Grad Show and an international exhibition, alongside the Tanween Majlis, a panel series with international creatives. Curated workshops, expert-led sessions, and a design market highlighting regional and international brands will also be part of the agenda.
