Iran Lawmaker Says Ukraine Has Become a Target

Riyadh, March 14 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Ebrahim Azizi, head of Iran’s parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy, said on Saturday that Ukraine had become involved in the war by providing drone support to Israel and had become a target for Iran.
Azizi made the remarks in a post on X, according to Iranian media reports and the statement you provided.
The comments came days after President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Ukraine had sent air defence teams to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to help counter Iranian aerial attacks. Reuters also reported earlier that Zelenskiy had restated Kyiv’s offer to help deal with Iranian drones.
Ukraine has promoted its experience in countering Iranian-designed Shahed drones, which Reuters said Russia has used extensively in the war against Ukraine.
