Tehran, March 1, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Iran’s foreign minister said he had appealed to his Persian Gulf counterparts for understanding after Tehran’s retaliatory strikes, describing them as intended to target United States military bases and personnel.
Iran has struck several countries in the region as United States and Israeli jets hit the Islamic Republic, including attacks on United States bases in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, according to the account.
The strikes have also hit outside military installations, including a hotel in Dubai and Kuwait’s international airport, the account said. Oman, which has mediated nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington, said Duqm Port was struck by two drones.
“I wish they would understand what is going on in the region it is not our fault,” Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said in an interview with Qatar-based Al Jazeera. He said his counterparts were largely “not happy.”
Aragchi said Iran’s military units were “somehow isolated” and were acting on general instructions given in advance. He said he had spoken to military leaders and commanders to be careful about the targets they choose.
