Iran Draft Ceasefire Proposal Still Under Review, Mehr Reports

PARIS, June 2 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Iran’s final draft proposal for an interim ceasefire agreement with the United States remains under review in Tehran and has not been sent back to mediators, CNN reported, citing Iran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency.
Mehr cited an unidentified informed source as saying no official response had yet been delivered.
The source said Iran was approaching the issue with “extreme caution” because of what Mehr described as longstanding distrust and the United States’ record of failing to honor commitments.
Mehr reported that Iran is seeking “real and tangible benefits” from any potential agreement.
The report came a day after state-linked Tasnim news agency said Iran was suspending talks with the United States over Israeli attacks in Lebanon.
U.S. President Donald Trump later said the talks were continuing at a “rapid pace.”
