Heavy Thunderstorms and Flash Floods Forecast for Jazan and Aseer

RIYADH, August 13 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Moderate to heavy thunderstorms could bring hail and flash floods to parts of Jazan and Aseer regions, the National Center for Meteorology said.
Light to moderate rain is forecast for parts of Najran and Al-Baha, as well as the highlands of Makkah Region. Thunderclouds are also expected over Riyadh and Eastern regions, particularly in their southern areas.
Gusty, dust-stirring winds may reduce horizontal visibility to nearly zero along coastal areas of Makkah and Madinah regions. Maximum temperatures will remain high in Eastern Region and parts of Riyadh, Makkah and Madinah regions.
Across the Red Sea, northwesterly to westerly winds will reach 20–45 km/h in northern and central waters and 15–50 km/h in southern and central waters. Waves are forecast to range from one to 2.5 meters, with conditions varying from relatively calm to choppy.
Winds over the northern and central Arabian Gulf will range from southwesterly to southeasterly. In southern waters, northeasterly to northwesterly winds will reach 10–28 km/h. Waves will range from half a meter to one meter, and the sea will remain calm.
