Milan, September 8, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani, who died last Thursday aged 91, will be laid to rest on Monday in a private family ceremony in the medieval village of Rivalta, south of Milan, AFP reported.
Over the weekend, thousands of people paid their respects as his coffin was displayed near the headquarters of his multi-billion-euro lifestyle company in Milan.
Local officials said the ceremony would take place in the afternoon, with security measures in place to ensure the privacy of the funeral. Rivalta is also where Armani’s mother is buried, according to the local castles association.
Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala declared Monday a day of mourning in the city. The Armani company confirmed its shops in Italy will close Monday afternoon as a sign of respect.
