RIYADH, November 30, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Advisor Turki Alalshikh said the idea of holding the Arabian Music Conference came in response to the needs of the artistic landscape in the Arab world.

Alalshikh described the conference as a platform dedicated to studying musical styles and emphasized the importance of coordination and integration among entities involved in musical work to document and record Eastern vocal maqams using a unified scientific methodology.

GEA stated that the conference focuses on integrating Arab musical identity with academic approaches. Its aim is to build a comprehensive Arabic reference for maqams and rhythms while documenting musical arts within an organized scientific framework.
