Saudi Arabia, January 5, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Falconer Mousa Al-Shalawi won the international auction round in the Mathlouth gyr pure category of the Milwah Race at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025, described as the world’s largest gathering of falcons.
The Saudi Falcons Club has set aside special rounds for auction falcons, in a move aimed at boosting the falcon market, according to the statement.
Many falconers buy from the International Falcon Breeders Auction due to competitive prices, it added.
The first-place falcon, named G2, was purchased for SAR30,000 and won SAR120,000, according to the statement.
