Etihad to Launch Kabul Flights on Dec 18, 2025

Abu Dhabi, October 10, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Etihad Airways said it will expand its regional network with the launch of flights to Kabul, Afghanistan, from December 18, 2025, adding a new destination in a year that has seen 31 route announcements across the Middle East and South Asia.

Etihad said the service will support trade, investment and cultural exchange, and facilitate travel for Afghan communities across the GCC, Australia, Europe and the United States.

“This route will serve strong demand for travel, enable trade and investment flows, and reconnect families and communities,” said Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad Airways’ Chief Executive Officer.

The carrier added that passenger numbers have grown more than 80% since 2022, with a trajectory to reach 38 million annually by 2030.
