AlUla, Jan 21, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – AlUla’s desert is hosting the “Desert X AlUla 2026” exhibition, an outdoor contemporary art programme that places works across the landscape, where artists draw on the area’s geological formations and natural terrain.
The exhibition features works installed at multiple locations, including land art, sculptures and large-scale installations created for the site and designed to align with the desert’s visual and environmental characteristics, according to organisers.

The 2026 edition is presented by AlUla Arts in collaboration with Desert X, as part of a cultural partnership focused on site-responsive contemporary art and the relationship between creativity and natural environments shaped by AlUla’s geographic and cultural context.
Organisers said the exhibition includes 11 artists from different disciplines, with works exploring themes including time, memory, humanity and nature, while taking into account the surrounding landscape.

“Desert X AlUla 2026” is a key highlight of the fifth AlUla Arts Festival 2026, which organisers said supports AlUla’s cultural and tourism development and reinforces its position as a global cultural destination.
