JEDDAH, November 23, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Culture Square in Historic Jeddah, a Ministry of Culture project, has been awarded 2025 Culture Project of the Year at the 15th annual MEED Projects Awards, which recognize leading construction, infrastructure, and cultural developments across the Middle East and North Africa.

More than 400 leaders, experts, and representatives from over 100 companies attended the ceremony, where Culture Square was highlighted as one of the Kingdom’s most significant new cultural landmarks. The award reflects the Ministry of Culture’s efforts to revitalize the Historic Jeddah district, strengthen the cultural and artistic landscape, and transform the area into a global tourism destination in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Located along Al-Arbaeen Lake, Culture Square features integrated cultural facilities that merge heritage with contemporary design. Its key components include a performing arts center with an 888-seat main theater, five cinemas, nine dialogue rooms, a restaurant, and three cafés. The destination also hosts the Middle East’s first digital art museum of its kind — teamLab Borderless — with more than 80 interactive digital artworks that connect art, technology, and nature.
