RIYADH, December 25 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Common Ground Festival opened on Wednesday at Malfa Hall in Misk City, Riyadh, as part of the Saudi-China Cultural Year, according to the Ministry of Culture.
The festival, which runs until January 6, 2026, aims to highlight cultural exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China through exhibitions and live performances exploring shared traditions and artistic expressions.
Organisers said the programme includes an art exhibition and a Cultural Street experience featuring handicrafts, performances and music that reflect elements from both cultures. The festival is open to families, international visitors, official delegations and cultural professionals.
The Common Ground Festival is held at Malfa Hall in Misk City and forms part of broader cultural initiatives under the Saudi-China Cultural Year.
Previous editions of the festival hosted the Republic of Yemen and the Republic of Iraq, attracting large audiences and participation from artists, intellectuals and cultural enthusiasts, organisers said.
The Ministry of Culture said the festival supports efforts to promote cultural diversity, empower artists and creators, expand international cultural cooperation and strengthen creative industries, in line with the national culture strategy under Saudi Vision 2030.
