Border Guard presents maritime safety equipment at Security Oasis exhibition

RIYADH, December 22 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The General Directorate of Border Guard presented a range of maritime safety equipment at the Security Oasis exhibition, held under the Ministry of Interior as part of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival.

The display focused on equipment designed to enhance personal safety and improve emergency preparedness during maritime activities, including sailing and diving.

Visitors were introduced to a number of systems used in search and rescue operations, such as distress signal boxes, the Electronic Rescue and Location System, man-overboard alert devices, the Automatic Identification System, and technical diving helmets.

According to the Border Guard, the technologies support precise location tracking, assist rescue teams in emergency situations, and help reduce risks in marine environments.

The participation formed part of efforts to raise awareness of maritime safety and encourage compliance with security guidelines during sea voyages.

Officials said the initiative contributes to protecting lives and strengthening safety standards in coastal and maritime areas.
