AWS reports disruptions after objects strike Dubai data centre

Amazon Web Services reported service disruptions on Monday after unidentified objects struck a data centre in Dubai, causing sparks and a fire, according to an AWS statement.

AWS said full recovery was expected to be many hours away and advised customers to ingest data into an alternate region in the meantime.

In a separate update, AWS reported connectivity issues at a data centre in Bahrain.
