Average Umrah performance time recorded at 117 minutes in Jumada Al-Awwal 1447 AH, authority says

MAKKAH, November 24, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque reported that the average time to complete Umrah during Jumada Al-Awwal 1447 AH was 117 minutes, with 92% of worshippers performing Tawaf in the Mataf area at the Grand Mosque.

According to the authority, the average Tawaf time was 43 minutes, while Sa‘i between Safa and Marwa averaged 49 minutes. Moving from the courtyards to the Mataf area took around 14 minutes, and the transition from the Mataf to the Sa‘i area required approximately 11 minutes.

The authority said it continues to implement measures to facilitate the movement of pilgrims throughout the Grand Mosque and its facilities, ensuring they can perform their rituals comfortably and safely.
