Average Umrah Duration Reaches 116 Minutes in Rabi Al-Thani: Authority

Makkah, October 25, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced that the average time to perform Umrah during the month of Rabi Al-Thani 1447 AH reached 116 minutes.
According to the authority’s statistics, 92% of pilgrims performed Tawaf (circumambulation) in the main Mataf area, with an average duration of 42 minutes. The Sa’i ritual, involving traversal between Safa and Marwah, took an average of 46 minutes, with 83% of pilgrims completing it on the ground floor.
The report also indicated that movement from the courtyards to the Mataf area required 15 minutes, while transitioning from the Mataf to the Sa’i area took 13 minutes.
The authority reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating the movement of pilgrims within the Grand Mosque and its facilities, ensuring smooth performance of rituals in an environment of comfort and spiritual tranquility.
