Arab League Condemns Iranian Attacks on Oman, UAE Tankers and Kuwait

CAIRO, July 16, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy condemned renewed Iranian attacks against Oman, two Emirati oil tankers and targets in Kuwait during a series of telephone calls with regional foreign ministers.
Fahmy spoke with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The discussions addressed attacks targeting Oman and the Emirati oil tankers Mombasa and Al Bahiyah.
They also reviewed attacks against Kuwait that resulted in deaths and injuries.
Fahmy described the incidents as flagrant violations of international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
He stressed the importance of protecting maritime navigation and respecting international legal obligations.
The secretary-general reaffirmed the Arab League’s full solidarity with Oman, the UAE and Kuwait and supported measures taken by the three countries to protect their security and sovereignty.
He also reiterated the organization’s rejection of actions threatening the security and stability of Arab states.
