Arab Countries Condemn Israeli Strike on Doha, Warn of Regional Security Risks

Riyadh, September 9, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Several Arab countries condemned the Israeli strike on Doha, warning that the attack threatens regional security and stability.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the operation, conducted jointly with the Shin Bet security agency, targeted senior Hamas leaders in what it described as a “precise strike.”

Saudi Arabia affirmed its “full solidarity” with Qatar, pledging to make all its capabilities available to support measures taken by the country, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The United Arab Emirates described the attack as “a serious assault on international law and the UN Charter, and an irresponsible escalation that threatens regional and international security and stability,” UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed said.

Egypt’s presidency said the escalation “undermines international efforts to achieve calm and threatens security and stability in the entire region.”

Kuwait expressed “total support to Qatar in all measures it would take to preserve its stability and sovereignty.”

Iraq called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to end what it described as Israel’s “aggressive practices.”

The Arab League, representing 22 member states including Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Syria, also condemned the attack. It said Israeli “behavior has now gone beyond all established international norms and every principle of international law, placing a clear responsibility on the international community to deal with a state that mocks the law and disregards the consequences of its shameful actions.”
