RIYADH, November 3 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Los Angeles-based luxury brand Amiri has signed a partnership with FC Barcelona to become the club’s official formalwear provider, marking the first time the Spanish team has entered such a collaboration.
Under the agreement, Amiri will design custom suits for both the men’s and women’s teams, as well as senior club executives. The looks will be inspired by FC Barcelona’s traditional palette of navy and garnet, featuring double-breasted and single-breasted tailoring, pinstriped wool trousers, and monogrammed details, with seasonal adaptations planned.
The partnership follows previous formalwear deals with Thom Browne and Herno.
Mike Amiri, founder and creative director of the brand, said the collaboration developed “very organically,” adding:
“FC Barcelona represents everything I respect in sport — heritage, artistry, and the relentless pursuit of greatness. Many of the players were already wearing Amiri, so there was a natural connection.”
He said the project reflects a shared vision:
“It’s an opportunity to redefine what modern elegance looks like in the context of global sport.”
The collection includes tailored outfits adjusted to each player's build. “We engineered our tailoring to complement the athletes’ forms, combining precision with comfort,” Amiri added.
FC Barcelona CEO Manel del Rio said the agreement reflects shared values between the club and the brand:
“This alliance with Amiri represents a connection between two institutions that share the same ambition: excellence, creativity, and attention to detail.”
He added:
“Together, we project a global image of innovation and sophistication.”
