Riyadh, October 27 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – AlUla continues to strengthen its position as a distinguished global destination for hospitality and gastronomy, with several of its hotels and restaurants included in the Michelin Guide 2025 — a recognition that reflects the exceptional character of experiences offered to guests from around the world.

The achievement underscores the outstanding quality, authenticity, and refinement that define AlUla’s hospitality landscape, where each property mirrors the spirit of the place and its deeply rooted cultural and heritage identity. Visitors are offered experiences that combine service excellence with the warmth of Saudi hospitality and the richness of local tradition.

Among the Michelin Guide Hotels, Banyan Tree AlUla received One Michelin Key — a mark of distinction granted to hotels that demonstrate exceptional levels of hospitality and service. The resort is among the first seven hotels in the Kingdom to receive this prestigious international recognition. Nestled among the dramatic sandstone formations of Ashar Valley, Banyan Tree AlUla offers refined luxury in harmony with nature, providing a serene retreat that blends contemporary elegance with a profound sense of place.

The Chedi Hegra, the first hotel in the world established within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was also featured as one of the new global destinations in the Michelin Guide. The property occupies restored heritage structures — including the historical railway station and Hegra Fort — where original mudbrick and stone walls have been carefully preserved and integrated into the hotel’s modern architectural design, offering a stay that bridges timeless heritage and contemporary comfort.

Dar Tantora The House Hotel, located in AlUla Old Town and known for its narrow alleyways and traditional mudbrick houses, was also included in the selection. The eco-hotel’s heritage buildings have been meticulously restored into intimate boutique accommodations. Dar Tantora was previously listed in TIME Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places 2024, highlighting its importance as one of the Kingdom’s most notable heritage-led hospitality projects.

The guide further features Our Habitas AlUla, a leading destination for sustainable luxury and wellness, and Caravan by Habitas AlUla, offering adventure-inspired stays beneath AlUla’s star-filled skies — blending simplicity, nature, and understated luxury.

In the Michelin Guide Restaurants category, Joontos, located within Dar Tantora The House Hotel, earned the Bib Gourmand distinction, recognizing restaurants that deliver exceptional cuisine at outstanding value. The restaurant brings together traditional Saudi flavors and contemporary culinary creativity. Harrat at Banyan Tree AlUla and Tama at Our Habitas AlUla also received special mentions for their contribution to AlUla’s growing culinary scene, celebrated for their Saudi-inspired menus and use of local ingredients.

This recognition reaffirms AlUla’s emergence as one of the region’s most captivating destinations for world-class hospitality and gastronomy, set against the backdrop of its striking natural landscapes and profound heritage significance.
