Riyadh, January 24, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – White and pink almond blossoms have spread across the highlands of Saudi Arabia’s Aseer region during the winter season, covering agricultural terraces and mountain slopes and drawing visitors to the area’s mountain landscapes.
Almond trees are cultivated across several mountainous areas, including Al-Soudah, Balsamer, Tanomah and Al-Namas, where geography and climate support their growth. The crop is closely associated with Aseer’s agricultural heritage, the statement said.
Favourable weather this season has produced abundant blossoms, raising expectations for a strong harvest. A single almond tree yields an average of five to six kilograms per season, with market prices varying depending on the harvesting stage.
Almond cultivation supports farmers’ incomes and agricultural activity in the region, while also contributing to eco-tourism as visitors travel to see the blossom-filled landscapes.
The growing interest in almond cultivation aligns with efforts to develop rural areas, preserve vegetation cover and protect agricultural heritage, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
