AFC unveils “Khuzama” match ball for 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia
RIYADH, September 29, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and Kelme have unveiled “Khuzama” as the official match ball for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia, marking 100 days until the tournament begins on January 7. The competition runs through February 5.
The ball is named after wild lavender found across Saudi Arabia. Its purple colour represents hospitality and welcome, while geometric patterns in deep purple, green and sand draw on “The Portal,” an element of the tournament’s identity inspired by traditional Najdi doorways.
Contrasting purple and white panels are designed to improve visibility for players, referees and spectators in daylight and under floodlights.
Saudi Arabia will host the Asian Cup for the first time. Twenty-four teams will compete in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al-Khobar.
