1.7 million pilgrims perform 1447 AH Hajj

RIYADH, May 27 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The total number of pilgrims for the 1447 AH Hajj season reached 1,707,301, according to figures released by Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Statistics.
International pilgrims accounted for 1,546,655 of the total, while domestic pilgrims, including Saudi citizens and residents, reached 160,646.
The total included 893,396 male pilgrims and 813,905 female pilgrims.
Most international pilgrims arrived by air, with 1,485,729 entering through airports. Another 54,429 arrived through land entry points, while 6,497 entered by sea.
GASTAT based its 2026 Hajj figures on administrative records from the Ministry of Interior, using a unified register-based model adopted over the past six years to support accuracy and reliability in Hajj statistics.
