UAE reports ballistic missile and drones hit territory, more intercepted

Abu Dhabi, March 5, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The UAE Ministry of Defence reported that one ballistic missile and six drones hit the country’s territory on Thursday as the war widens in the Middle East.
A defence ministry statement said six missiles and 131 drones were repelled on Thursday, and that hundreds of projectiles have been intercepted since the start of the war.
The statement added that shrapnel from the interception of cruise missiles earlier this week killed three residents, and that falling shrapnel in recent days has wounded 94.
