UAE president and Jordan king discuss regional escalation in phone call

RIYADH, April 2, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – United Arab Emirates President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call on Thursday from His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan, during which the two leaders discussed regional developments and their implications for regional and international security and stability.
During the call, the two sides discussed what they described as continued Iranian attacks targeting the UAE, Jordan and other countries in the region, saying the actions represented a violation of sovereignty and international law and posed a threat to regional peace and security.
They also reviewed relations between the UAE and Jordan and discussed cooperation between the two countries.
The two leaders affirmed their commitment to continued consultation and coordination in a way that serves the interests of both countries and their peoples.
