UAE Intercepts Missiles and Drones Launched From Iran

Abu Dhabi, March 11, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The United Arab Emirates said its air defense systems intercepted six ballistic missiles, seven cruise missiles and 39 drones launched from Iran on Wednesday, according to the UAE Ministry of Defence.


Since the start of the Iranian attacks, the UAE said its defenses have intercepted 268 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,514 drones.


Authorities said the attacks have resulted in six fatalities, including nationals of the UAE, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh.


A total of 131 people sustained minor to moderate injuries, including nationals from the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Türkiye, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana and Indonesia.


The UAE Ministry of Defence said it remains fully prepared to address any threats and will respond firmly to attempts to undermine the country’s security, sovereignty and stability.
