UAE condemns Iranian attacks, reaffirms commitment to regional security

ABU DHABI, May 16 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The United Arab Emirates condemned Iranian attacks and threats targeting the UAE and countries across the region, WAM reported, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry said nearly 3,000 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones had been launched toward the UAE, causing civilian casualties, injuries and damage to civilian infrastructure.
The UAE described the attacks as a violation of state sovereignty and a direct threat to regional security and stability.
The ministry stated that all UAE measures were defensive and aimed at protecting sovereignty, civilians and vital infrastructure.
It added that the UAE reserves its sovereign, legal, diplomatic and military rights to respond to any threat or hostile act.
The UAE also reaffirmed continued coordination with Gulf Cooperation Council member states, as well as regional and international partners, to support regional security and stability.
