RIYADH, August 14 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned what it described as an Iranian attack against two ADNOC-affiliated vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. No injuries were reported.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said threats against commercial shipping in the waterway jeopardize regional stability and global energy security.
The ministry cited UN Security Council Resolution 2817, which affirmed the importance of freedom of navigation and rejected attacks on commercial vessels and attempts to obstruct international maritime routes.
It accused Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps of acts of piracy, saying the Strait of Hormuz was being used for economic coercion and blackmail.
