UAE Air Defences Intercept Seven Ballistic Missiles and 27 Drones

Abu Dhabi, March 13 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence said on Friday that air defence systems intercepted seven ballistic missiles and 27 unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran.
The ministry said the interceptions took place on March 13 as air defence systems responded to incoming threats.
Since the beginning of what the ministry described as Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have intercepted 285 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,567 drones, according to the statement.
The attacks have resulted in six fatalities, including nationals of the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh, and 141 injuries ranging from minor to moderate, affecting residents from several countries.
Those injured include nationals of the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Türkiye, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia and Sweden.
The ministry said it remains fully prepared to respond to any threats and will take necessary measures to protect the country’s sovereignty, security and stability.
