RIYADH, September 2 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The General Directorate of Passports is showcasing a contactless e-gate at the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion during LEAP 2026.
The self-service gate lets travelers move their palm over a reader without touching it. The system then verifies their identity and opens the gate without requiring travel documents or a fingerprint scan.
The directorate is also presenting digital tools designed to speed up passenger movement through international ports and improve service efficiency.
LEAP 2026 runs from August 31 to September 3 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.
