Riyadh, January 24, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has launched a digital mechanism to organise the Ramadan iftar programme for fasting individuals, aiming to strengthen governance, transparency and operational efficiency.
The authority developed the system in collaboration with the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work and the Nusuk Foundation.
Under the mechanism, individuals and non-profit organisations register through the authority’s official website, with payments processed securely through the Ehsan platform.
After the transaction is confirmed, iftar meal arrangements are finalised and a formal permit is issued to the donor, the authority said, creating a documented workflow from start to finish.
